It's been awhile since the pilot of the new Prisoner has aired and I finally got round to reading some reviews. Almost all of them label the show as pretty bad, not understanding any of the themes of the original and all reviews are pretty damning for Jim Caviezel who plays the new number Six. The most eloquent review is definitely Adi Tantimedh's at Bleedingcool.com who goes deeper into the main themes of the series.

One good thing to come out of the new series at least is all the spotlight the old series receives. I came across this cool Prisoner Timeline while visiting comicbookresources.com. It chronicles all appearances number Six has made in popular culture. Click on the image for a large pic.

    I did not know about an older version but I did try this new version but after 3,5 eps I decided to give it a rest. It was too erratic for my tastes!

    And I am not about to go back to the old times when I can check new eps of Dexter or Fringe or The Mentalist or True Blood or the new V or Flashforward or even the Eastwich-tv series

    Quality stuff is quality stuff, Richard! If you exclude older stuff you exclude stuff like Steve McQueen, Sam Peckinpah movies, Clint Eastwood, James Caan, Point Blank etc ...
