I would certainly recommend Valerie's PUNISHER MAX: BUTTERFLY one-shot with great visuals from the ever-reliable Laurence Campbell. On the strength of that issue I may well give this one a look-see.

Lovely art but I struggle to understand the point of the exercise apart from parting the gullible from their money... I certainly wouldn't want my copy of NOVA, for example, with a superfluous irrelevant cover.

Agreed on Hercules. Van Lente and Pak were doing some *great* work on that book. I'll pick up X-FACTOR FOREVER on the strength of Louise Simonson although POWER PACK FOREVER would be far more welcome! There has never been a more realistic characterisation of children in the Marvel U than Simonson gave us in her POWER PACK run. Fantastiic stuff.

For a moment there I thought we were going to see a volume that reprinted the Cursed Earth episodes from the '70s that used company trademarks (including a town where near-tribal lines were drawn between supporters of two well-known burger chains and another where robotic versions of the Jolly Green Giant, the Michelin Man et al. appeared). A shame we will never see a complete reprint of The Cursed Earth. :(

For me the big moment of this episode was Claire referring to her unborn baby as "Aaron". Was he always destined to be called that or is it some hint that the parallel timeline characters may be having some sort of residual memories of their other selves?

What I'm most sad about is that we'll presumably be losing Dan Slott's MIGHTY AVENGERS which is my favourite Avengers title in many, many years.

It's fantastic Bart and, of course, it has the delightfully sardonic George Sanders in it. Not available on Region 2 DVD for us Euros but I hunted myself down a copy of the Region 1 release from the States a year or so back.
