Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox’s long-rumored Magneto project is finally in development, with David Goyer on board to direct the film.
Magneto is the second movie to spin off from the popular X-Men trilogy of films, the first one being Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman. Contrary to that production, where the title role is played by the actor that portrayed Wolverine in the X-Men pics, Ian McKellen won’t see a lot of screen time on Magneto, since the film will tell the origin of the most-feared X-Men villain ever created.
