For the past week, Marvel Comics has been sending out teaser images to Brian Bendis and John Romita Jr.'s new Avengers ongoing series starting in April, unveiling one character a day. That's new Avengers proper, not new New Avengers.
All signs point to a true core Avengers team being established, with Captain America, Spider-Woman, Iron Man and Hawkeye already having been announced as team members. Bendis is bringing back the classic Avengers of yore, along with his pet-peeve Jessica Jones.
But rest assured, with so many Avengers teams having been active in recent years - New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Dark Avengers, and Avengers: The Initiative - there's more than a fair chance we'll see at least one Avengers teams next to the classic one post Siege. The franchise remains as popular as ever, and Marvel won't be foolish not to capitalise.
BF has received indications that Marvel will put different teams together: the teasers the publisher has been releasing these past four days will continue into next week, with a second Avengers teaser wave planned for a few weeks in March. Even Bendis would have problems juggling that much dialogue in one book.

Marvel have since confirmed there will be 4 Avengers titles coming out of Siege.
The Avengers - Bendis writing, the flagship book
The Secret Avengers - Ed Brubaker writing, only teasers so far but getting the impression it is a 21st century take on the 80's/90's Nick Fury underground stuff (which is weird considering we still have secret warriors), I also get the feeling this will be a strong black ops team - Steve Rodgers (original cap), Hank Pym, War Machine, Im hearing rumours they are putting some form of spiderman in this team and as Peter is in Main Avengers...well bringing Ben Reily back maybe?
Then we have 2 other Avengers books. Dunno what they are yet. The first two are getting released/announced proper in May with these 2 secret books set for June. I would think one will be the villains trying to adjust to not being Avengers any more (focus on venom, bullseye etc) and the other will be something unnecessary. -

What I'm most sad about is that we'll presumably be losing Dan Slott's MIGHTY AVENGERS which is my favourite Avengers title in many, many years.

FH, I don't think that's what "pet-peeve" means. However, intriguing news. I'm still not really a Bendis fan but Brubaker's take on the Avengers might be worth checking out.

All those different Avengers titles ... I was hoping they would return to a max of two titles. Then I would be tempted to check one out but this is back to the same as it ever was, seems to me. I guess i'll have to be content with re-reading my Avengers Essentials. Reaching up to the Roy Thomas era now, it's a hoot, love Stan Lee's take on Hawkeye and Don Heck's incredible artwork (though he's not exactly a master of drawing futuristic technology :-s ).

Ah the Roy Thomas era. Happy memories indeed!
