Stormwatch and the Midnighter make their dramatic returns to the WildStorm Universe in November as part of WorldStorm!
First, on November 1, the Authority's Midnighter kicks off his own series in MIDNIGHTER #1, written by Garth Ennis (THE BOYS, PREACHER) with art and cover by Chris Sprouse & Karl Story (TOM STRONG, OCEAN).
As issue #1 begins, the Midnighter, returning from a mission in war-torn Afghanistan, is accosted on entering the Carrier. Something is terribly wrong; unseen assailants take him down too easily and drag him though the teleportation door to an unknown location. After regaining consciousness he is given a cryptic choice: either kill a mass murderer - or die!
This issue will feature 3 covers that may be ordered separately. The Standard Edition cover is by Chris Sprouse & Karl Story; one copy of Variant Edition A, with a cover by Michael Golden, may be ordered for every 10 copies of the Standard Edition ordered; one copy of Variant Edition B, with a pencil version of the cover by Chris Sprouse, may be ordered for every 50 copies of the Standard Edition ordered.

Then, on November 8, Stormwatch returns in an unexpected way in the exciting new series STORMWATCH: PHD. Written by Christos N. Gage (DEADSHOT, Numb3rs) and illustrator/cover artist Doug Mahnke (JLA, TEAM ZERO) bring an incredible new vision to this WildStorm Universe cornerstone!
Originally a U.N. crisis intervention force with a global reach, StormWatch suffered a very visible and crippling blow following a catastrophe in New York City. Now, former Weatherman Jackson King is given a new, near-impossible mission: developing new methods of apprehending and containing superpowered-beings on a shoestring budget. Gone are the orbital satellites and matter-teleportation services, traded for a dingy office staffed with second-rate heroes and former villains. Does humanity - and this Post Human Division - stand a chance?
This issue will feature 3 covers that may be ordered separately. The Standard Edition cover is by Doug Mahnke; one copy of Variant Edition A, with a cover by Trevor Hairsine, may be ordered for every 10 copies of the Standard Edition ordered; one copy of Variant Edition B, with a pencil version of the cover by Trevor Hairsine, may be ordered for every 50 copies of the Standard Edition ordered.
THE MIDNIGHTER #1 and STORMWATCH: PHD #1 will be solicited in the September Previews (Volume XVI #9) and are scheduled to reach comic book stores in November.
