It’s that time of year when the UK side of the Broken Frontier team start planning for the British festival season and all the accompanying events that BF will be a part of in that time. Last week we announced our upcoming ELCAF Fortnight this June and our Broken Frontier Panel at the festival on ‘Comics and Routes into Publishing’.
This week we’re letting you know about another comics happening that BF are contributing to. On July 28th at London’s Cartoon Museum I will be part of an afternoon exploring the subject of ‘Sustaining Comics: What the Future Holds‘. The event will look at “the challenges of working in comics, the opportunities out there, and what the future might hold.”
There’s an incredible line-up of comics folk taking part including a number of regular names on the site: Karrie Fransman (Death of the Artist), Hannah Berry (Livestock), Rachael Ball (The Inflatable Woman), Corinne Pearlman (Myriad Editions) and Sha Nazir (BHP Comics). It runs from 2.00pm to 5.30pm and is free, but booking is essential (you can do that here).
With the Cartoon Museum recently announcing a move in the latter part of 2018 there’s a lot of exciting things happening for this great comics and cartoons showcase institution this year! We look forward to seeing some of you on the 28th…
