Norm Konyu was selected to be one of our 2021 Broken Frontier ‘Six Small Press Creators to Watch‘ after his acclaimed self-published debut graphic novel The Junction wowed readers and critics alike in 2020. When I reviewed the book in 2020 I said then that “The Junction was self-published via a Kickstarter campaign but bigger publishers should be looking at it with an eye to taking it to the far wider audience it deserves.” And fortunately Titan Books stepped in to do just that.

It explores the mystery surrounding missing child Lucas Jones who reappears in his hometown after an absence of 12 years but still 11 years old, the age he was when he vanished. A true labour of love, The Junction has taken the best part of a decade to reach this point as Konyu told us when we interviewed him here last year.
