Exciting publishing news as this week sees our 2019 Broken Frontier ‘Six to Watch‘ artist Aleesha Nandhra (insert the usual “we did tell you” statement here) as illustrator of the new edition of Climate Change from Ladybird Books.
Ladybird originally published Climate Change in 2017. It was written by the then Princes of Wales, Tony Jupiter and Emily Shuckburgh. This Guardian article, though, is rather… hazy… on the exact nature of the future King’s contribution to the project. While that version was illustrated in the now rather dated Ladybird “house style” – one that has led to a number of parody editions in recent years – this one features the vibrant visuals of the creator behind comics like Local Angrej and Thinking in the Dark.
It’s always a delight to see our ‘Six to Watch’ going on to bigger and better things so congratulations to Aleesha on her contribution to such an iconic publishing institution! The book is published on March 9th. You can also read a past interview with Aleesha here at Broken Frontier.
