Sequential Scotland is a brand new comic convention coming to Glasgow on Saturday 2nd of August 2025. The convention will spotlight Scotland’s amazing comic creators and micro-publishers while creating a welcoming space for veterans and newbies alike to mix.
The event was conceived by Faye Stacey. A Glasgow-based comic artist and designer, they have been selling at conventions for over a decade and have worked with Quindrie Press, Magic Torch Comics, and Creative Edinburgh.
Sequential Scotland will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton on Cambridge Street in central Glasgow. The Doubletree is an accessible venue with excellent subway, bus, and train links. Tickets are £6 with free entry for children 12 years old and under.
The event will feature free workshops and talks delivered by Comics Youth and the Paperjam Comics Collective. There will also be cosplay and art competitions, with prizes kindly donated by our event sponsor Cass Art.
The headline guest will be Hesitantdoodle, a Glasgow-based illustrator who has worked with the V&A Dundee, Scottish Book Trust, and LDComics. Their original comic series (GUTS, Demon Guardians, and Roller Ghouls) capture the action of sports, the drama of romance, and whimsy of magical girls. Hesitantdoodle added: ‘I am so excited and honoured to be a part of the first ever Sequential Scotland and I can’t wait to share my work with other enthusiastic comic fans!’

Sequential Scotland was made possible by Creative Scotland, with almost £19,000 awarded in funding in order to get the convention up and running. Artist table applications will open on Monday 24th of February 2025.
