Summary: It’s July, 1945. The world’s first test of the atomic bomb should have ended World War II and ushered in a new age of cultural and technological advancement. But in The Last West, the bomb fails. The War continues. All advancement ceases, and for the next 60 years, the world is trapped in stasis. Until one man discovers that the missing element in 1945 was a soldier named Stephen West… and he may be the key to reigniting the world.
A little bit about Evan Young and co-author Lou Iovino… The Last West is their first time working together. Evan Young has put out a couple of other graphic novels, The Forgotten and The Carrier, both of which have now been optioned by Hollywood. Lou is a hobby writer and an advertising professional, so this is his first published work in comics.
