“Ida draws Putin but it doesn’t really look like him” – Person
If you liked the look of Ida Neverdahl and Øystein Runde’s Moscow (reviewed on Crossing Borders the other week) but haven’t grabbed a copy yet – don’t panic!
Broken Frontier has teamed up with Centrala, the publisher of the English-language version, to offer three copies as prizes in one of our now legendary competitions.
Vladimir Putin looms large in the book, and without giving too much away, he brings Ida and Øystein’s sardonic travelogue to what could only be described as a FABULOUS conclusion.
To be in with a chance of sharing the Norwegian cartoonists’ tale of their trip to the KomMissia Festival, we want you to grab the tool of your choice and scribble, doodle or draw your fantasy depiction of the ‘Little Father’.
Whether they’re heroically ridiculous or ridiculously heroic, we’ll choose three of our favourites.
(And please don’t feel you have to be a pro-level pencil-botherer to enter. As anyone who’s seen our, um, ‘naive’ efforts at the Broken Frontier/Gosh Comics drink-and-draw could testify, it would ill behoove us to get sniffy or judgmental about anyone’s skillz.)
So, once you’ve completed your bit of work, scan it and send it to us here at reviews@brokenfrontier.com by midnight (Moscow time) on Friday September 18th. Shortly afterwards, we’ll announce our winners and showcase all the entries.
