I’m going to use this space this week for a brief Small Press Day-related call-out as the date for the big day gets ever nearer on July 8th. For the uninitiated, Small Press Day 2017 will be the second annual celebration of all things micro and self-published comics-related across the UK and Ireland after last year’s first fun-filled extravaganza proved to be a huge success.
In 2016 somewhere in the region of 25 events including in-store signings, fairs, panels and workshops were held. They were publicised via listings on the Small Press Day site, through extensive social media promotion on Twitter and here at Broken Frontier in a number of round-up and listings articles.
The Small Press Day team (David ‘Ziggy’ Greene, Amneet Johal and myself) are keen to get cracking on pushing your events again for July 8th this year through every platform available to us.
But we need your help to do that…
So if you’re a store or organiser and you’re arranging Small Press Day festivities let us know. You can e-mail us at contact@smallpressday.co.uk or get in touch with us through the Small Press Day site. And if you want to talk to me about Broken Frontier coverage for your event you can also e-mail me directly here: andyoliver@brokenfrontier.com. We don’t want to miss out on giving your Small Press Day celebrations the biggest and best push we possibly can!
