The Comedy Women in Print Prize has announced its longlists today, including the artists and projects in the new ‘Humorous Graphic Novel’ category (in association with LDComics) which also covers self-published work. And there are some familiar faces there for Broken Frontier readers!
The prize was founded by comedian, actress and writer Helen Lederer and is described as “the first UK and Ireland comedy literary prize to shine a light on witty women authors.” This year’s new graphic novel section was open to women-identifying creators of humorous graphic novels published within five years of the closing date of the competition. Shortlists will be announced on June 8th with the winners revealed on September 14th. For more on the Comedy Women in Print Prize including the other sections visit their site here.
