A new fair makes its first appearance on the UK indie scene this weekend with the debut of CoCo Comic Con, an event for Small Press Day in Lancaster on August 13th. Partnering up with local comic shop First Age Comics, the day promises to be a celebration of small press comics and independent creators.
There’s a cracking line-up of creators exhibiting including many whom have had coverage here at BF, including our ‘Six to Watch’ artist Josh Hicks (Glorious Wrestling Alliance), Feff Silvers (The Final Lullaby), James Lawrence (The Legend of La Mariposa), Mat Greaves (Chip McFitz), and Nick Gonzo (Black Dragon).
In addition Coco Comic Con boasts a communal space for non-exhibitors’ work and a fundraising initiative with the ever worthy Comics Youth. Full details, including directions and times on the CoCo Comics site here!
