This summer Gosh! Comics and Broken Frontier are embracing the great tradition of comic book team-ups to bring you our debut collaborative Drink and Draw night! The first edition of this regular monthly event will be held on Thursday 25th June at The John Snow pub and will feature creators Tom Humberstone (In the Frame, Solipsistic Pop) and regular artist-in-residence Danny Noble (Was it Too… Much for You?, Monday Morning). Danny’s new book Hangover Farm was reviewed here yesterday at Broken Frontier.
Hosted by Gosh’s Tom Oldham and (myself!) Broken Frontier’s Andy Oliver, each evening will provide an opportunity for attendees to find their artistic muse in a relaxed and informal atmosphere in the company of a rotating list of guest creators from across all areas of comics publishing. Every month the Drink and Draw will begin at Gosh! at 6.30pm with an opportunity to buy work from the featured artists at a discounted price before heading to the evening’s often changing location of choice.
Artist-in-residence Danny Noble and guest artist Tom Humberstone will be in attendance on our first night
Drinking is not compulsory! And don’t forget Gosh! also runs the ever popular monthly Process Group for those wanting to meet with fellow artists in a less Bacchanalian environment. But whether you’re a dabbling doodler or a seasoned sketcher all are welcome at this latest entry in the regular London comics calendar!
