RUIN OF THE HOUSE OF THE DIVINE VISAGE LAUNCHING ON KICKSTARTER
In a monastery where revealing one’s face is an affront to the god housed inside its very chambers, what happens when one young man accidentally sees the face of another?
RUIN OF THE HOUSE OF THE DIVINE VISAGE is the first collaborative graphic novel from Eve & Spire Greenwood, exploring a relationship with religion and queer identity. This 130-page comic will be released as a webcomic, updating with one page a week, but the completed graphic novel is available to preorder through Kickstarter in a gorgeous hardback edition.
“The story feels laced with an ever-present, ominous threat that makes the stolen moments of romance feel even more vital and vivid. I was hooked.” – Hari Conner, creator of Finding Home and I Shall Never Fall in Love
“The art oozes charm, from its elegantly designed characters to its delicately dense environments. I deeply enjoyed it.” – Rowan MacColl, creator of Kingfisher
Eve Greenwood is the founder of Eisner-nominated micropublisher Quindrie Press and creator of the award-shortlisted webcomic Inhibit. Spire Greenwood is a graphic designer who has done logo work for a variety of comics and independent organisations and who creates the webcomic Recoil. Although they have previously collaborated on projects such as Guide to Kroma, a fantasy travel guide, and Imp Adventure, a short game about causing problems, Eve & Spire are excited to return to their comic roots with this brand new graphic novel.
The Kickstarter for RUIN runs from August 13th until September 10th. As well as the print edition of the comic, backers can pick up the completed PDF, an exclusive sticker, and an exclusive print from Ver, the creator of Wolvendaughter.
