This Sunday December 5th sees the return of the LDComics Festival online. For those not in the know LDComics is the UK’s largest women-led comics forum. They describe their ethos in the following terms: “We believe in the transformative potential of the comics form to offer wellbeing through making and reading. The accessibility of the form as a storytelling medium has created fertile ground for a wealth of casual creators and minority voices.”
Broken Frontier has long had links with LDComics, presenting at meetings and events in the past, and this weekend we will be talking about the community side of our Gosh Comics and Broken Frontier Drink and Draw event, now hosted online every two weeks since the pandemic began. Full details on the LDComics Festival can be found on the site here, alongside details on how to book to attend on Zoom. The programme for the day is below.
