After the success of last year’s Over-Inkers anthology editor R. E. Burke has put together a second volume of the mental health awareness comics collection this year. This time the theme is ‘A Helping Hand’ and there’s a notably strong line-up of newer voices on the comics self-publishing scene involved. It’s been a tough couple of months for comics crowdfunders with a swathe of excellent projects really squeezing every last penny out of backers. We can vouch for this on two fronts though. Firstly R. E. Burke is one of the extended BF family of creatives to have trod the imaginary corridors of Broken Frontier Towers. And secondly because the first issue was so good – check out our review of Over-Inkers #1 here at BF last year for more details.

Contributors have been curated to allow a diversity of stories, of different visual and tonal natures, on the theme of ‘A Helping Hand’. Some are colourful and quirky, others and delicate and serious; from little hacks to help you get out of a funk, to sensitive poetry about dealing with long-term mental health disorders.
