Our very own R. E. Burke is looking for submissions for her new mental health-focussed comics anthology Over-Inkers. The theme of the first issue is ‘Strength’ and she describes what she’s thinking of as: “I’m looking for stories about a time when you were strong. This can be physical or mental. For example, did you work really hard towards a specific goal? Overcome a fear? Get through a really rough patch? Make a hard decision?”
This first edition will be a charity comic benefitting Blood Cancer UK. Your submission should be between 2-8 pages in length and there’s scope for artists and writers to be matched up if needed. UK comic anthologies open to submissions have been a far rarer phenomenon in recent years so this is a great opportunity to make further links within the community.
