The Ignatz-winning and Broken Frontier Award-nominated Fizzle by Whit Taylor returns via Radiator Comics at MICE 2022. The eagerly-awaited #4 continues the story we described as “a prime reminder of the connective power of slice-of-life comics storytelling” here at BF a couple of years back. Full details on this exciting announcement below.
Fizzle No. 4 by Whit Taylor to Debut at MICE
Radiator Comics is overjoyed to announce we will be publishing the fourth issue in Whit Taylor’s Ignatz-Award-winning comic Series, Fizzle, this Fall! The comic will debut at the Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo (MICE) on October 22, 2022.
Fizzle tells the story of Claire, a New Jersey transplant in California on the verge of transcending her listless life. A dead-end retail job and a slacker boyfriend leave Claire wanting more. A pot-induced joke and a taste for evocative fruit sparks an interest in Claire that could help her escape her mundane life.
In this issue, Claire’s love for citrus grows thanks to a gift from her boyfriends’ grandfather. We learn about Claire’s family dynamics when her mother calls with some big news. But danger is brewing as Claire’s relationship with Andy becomes more unsteady, and co-worker, Jaime, seems more and more charming.
